200: Beginning Quilting



If you ever wanted to make a quilt and had no idea where to start or you desire a refresher course, this is the class for you.  This is a 6-hour class.  You will learn about the tools, terms, using the tools and fabric selection.  The goal is to start cutting your own 9 patch to piece.  You will learn about rulers to make your job easier, piecing with an accurate 1/4" seam, about needles, thread, calculations, basting and getting ready to quilt.

Supplies Needed:
Sewing Machine in good working order with cords to operate
Rotary Cutter
Quilting Pins
Needles for machine
Cutting mat and ruler 
Thread
Small nips (scissors to trim threads)
Best Press


Provided:   Iron and ironing board.
